Minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis (MIPO) is a recently described method of biological internal fixation performed by introducing a bone plate via small insertional incisions that are made remote to the fracture site.

Sharing a talk I gave the recent Intrauma Symposium in Rome on TTTT2. The Tibial Tuberosity Transposition Tool and Technique 2 (TTTT2) provides a method for proximal tibial tuberosity shifting after partial tibial crest osteotomy, without tuberosity pinning, distal cerclage wiring, and a method for holding the transposed proximal tibial tuberosity in position to verify patellar tracking and measuring before final bone fixation.

An 8-year-old 44.1-kg castrated male German Shepherd Dog that had undergone tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO) 4 weeks earlier was presented for a postoperative recheck examination.

The right stifle joint was mildly distended on palpation with mildly reduced flexion on range of motion, but nonpainful. No tibial thrust was present. Repeat radiographs of the right stifle joint and crus were performed.
